Breast Enlargement Delaware

Breast Augmentation is commonly referred to as a Breast enlargement or even a ‘boob job’. The purpose is to make the breasts bigger, fuller, perkier and more rejuvenated.

A Breast enlargement is a procedure designed to make your breasts larger, and correct small size. Breast enlargement makes you “a larger version of you.” The breast implant acts as a form of tissue expansion and enlarges all the tissue on top of the expander or implant. The tissue expansion increases breast size, making it bigger and larger, and more attractive.

The best candidate for breast enlargement surgery is anyone not happy with their breast size or shape and a desire to change their appearance. Patients must be physically healthy and have realistic expectations.

Dr Saunders uses both Silicone and Saline filled implants. Dr Saunders believes you get excellent results with both. Dr Saunders was the principal investigator of the National Silicone Research Study at Christiana Health care system. The silicone implants are now FDA approved. Dr Saunders also uses saline implants and helps his patients decide which is best for them. He assures his patients that both implants are extremely safe.

Breast Implants: Choosing Size

Dr Saunders spends significant time with each patient picking the breast size that best suits them. After consulting with his patients Dr Saunders sends them home to do “breast homework.” There are two homework assigments involved for determining what size implant to use, photographs and a Rice Test. Dr Saunders has his patients bring in photos of women to illustrate what they want to look like. The second assignment is the Rice Test. Dr Saunders has his patients measure rice from 200mL to 500mL, then placed in a stocking, then placed in a sports bra. This gives the patient an idea of how the implant will look. Once this is complete, Dr Saunders compares the results of the rice test to the photographs selected and precise measurements of the Dr Saunders believes these tests maximize the success of an already highly successful operation.

Dr Saunders performs this surgery at his state of the art cosmetic surgery center on an out-patient basis. The recovery time for breast enlargement surgery is a short period of pain and some post operative restrictions.

Dr Saunders also uses a “pain buster” to decrease pain after surgery. He believes this is the latest technique to make the patient comfortable. This device trickles in a local anesthetic for pain relief following surgery.

Dr Saunders is the author of A Women’s Guide to the “Real-Reality” of Cosmetic Surgery. This is a must read for anyone considering breast enlargement surgery or any cosmetic procedure.
